一些医生的工资从年初到现在减少了约30%，部分基层医院医生每月收入只有两三千元，有的地方甚至发不出基本工资。

收入下降的主要原因是：医院病人减少、医保费用控制严格，以及很多医院在修建新大楼上花费太多。
有专家指出，培养一名医生需要很长时间，通常要学习工作十多年才能独立看病。
从国际上看，医生的收入一般是社会平均工资的2–3倍。
最近有官方文章建议，医生的年薪应该是公务员的两倍以上，这样才能体现医生的培养成本和职业价值。
